The Story

It started with one dinner table.

How a booked restaurant table turned into 3,500 women across seven cities.

Flying between London and Warsaw, I couldn't fit in one-on-one meetings with everyone I wanted to see. So I booked one table and invited women who had never met each other. The dinner turned out beautifully. Afterwards they asked: "Will you be here next month? Book the table again."

Those dinners became Imperfect CEO — today a community of more than 1,200 female founders, executives, investors and senior leaders — 3,500 women have come through the events so far, in seven cities — with gatherings held in boutique stores, design spaces and wellness venues instead of hotel ballrooms. Around 40% of participants come back for the next one.

Before that: architecture at The Glasgow School of Art, then fifteen years in the startup ecosystem as a mentor, operator, investor and founder, working with more than 200 startups. I call what that taught me my Architect's Vision — seeing the patterns across hundreds of founder journeys that actually predict long-term success.

And I'm an ADHD CEO. For a long time I tried to run things the way I was told they should be run. Now I build businesses, and a community, that work the way my head actually works. Imperfect, on purpose.

"Women already control around 80% of household spending, yet we're still largely ignored. The Women's Economy is one of the biggest opportunities of the next decade." Martina Tararuj
